Gareth Hale & Norman Pace

Hale and Pace met at teacher-training college in Eltham, South-East London, and roomed together. They discovered much in common, particularly humour, and began playing clubs in a comedy band. One of the clubs they most liked playing was "The Tramshed" in Woolwich where they achieved cult status with audiences. They were there for 7 years learning their craft, during which time, they spring-boarded onto radio and TV.

At the Edinburgh Festival they were chosen to be in the Best of the Fringe, and went on to star in 3 series on BBC Radio 4. They met legendary producer Paul Jackson, and after 3 appearances in The Young Ones they went on to star in Channel 4’s Pushing Up Daises, Coming Next and The Management.

Gareth Hale & Norman Pace have received several British Comedy Award nominations; a Bronze Award at the International Film and Television Festival in New York; Best of Category Award in the Comedy Section at the San Francisco International Film and Television Festival; they have been nominated three times for the Montreux Festival; won the Press Prize and the much coveted Golden Rose of Montreux; and appeared before Her Majesty The Queen at The Royal Variety Performance.

Between them, they have achieved hundreds of TV credits. Documentaries such as Jobs for the Boys, but most notably, ten series of the award winning Hale and Pace Show. Over the last couple of years, Gareth has appeared on stage as Doolittle in Sir Cameron Mackintosh’s My Fair Lady and on TV in the drama series The Royal on ITV.

Norman has assumed the mantle of poker expert and analyst for SKY TV when he isn’t involved in theatre work, ranging from Shakespeare to contemporary drama.
